Great little SUV!
Tuesday, May 26, 2020
Fiat's 2018 500X is a distinctive, well built and fun little SUV! It's unfortunate that most of you (like me) are probably reading these reviews because of the R word - Reliability. Well, I'm happy to report that I've had no issues in my past 2.5 years of ownership and am very happy with it so far. Great leather seats, a strong suite of safety technology (if you optioned for it) and a zippy, quirky nature that I love. The 9 speed has most of its issues ironed out for this model year and has learned how I drive. Sport mode really changes the character of the car and makes it even more enjoyable. In the Pennsylvania winter, the car performs like a little tank. I really enjoy this SUV and just wish they would build an even larger model. Love my Fiat!

Great Compact-Size SUV with FIAT Handling & Style
Tuesday, January 14, 2020
We have had ZERO problems with this wonderful little SUV since purchasing it 3 years ago. I have a short commute on a busy urban freeway with more than the average number of maniacal drivers. This FIAT, with it's superior handling and responsiveness, has enabled me to avoid several collisions in the making. My only disappointment is due to the unavailability of a turbo engine and manual transmission in the model with the other features that we wanted. It seems that all manufacturers today only offer a manual gearbox in their least expensive models. My previous cars, an Audi A4 and VW Passatt, both came with smaller 2.0 liter engines that were turbocharged and provided better torque and acceleration. However, this car is more nimble than those and a joy to drive. Everything works as expected and dealer servicing has been great. We had several FIATs in the 1970's (sedans and spiders), which were terrific fun to drive, but which also had manufacturing/repair issues. 40 years later, this 500x provides all the driving fun of the earlier models with none of the reliability issues (by the way, our two Audi A4's were far worse in this regard than the 1970's FIATS). Kudos to FIAT/Chrysler!

Fun with the new 1.3 turbo! So quick!
Tuesday, December 03, 2019
I bought an orange 2019 Fiat 500x..it comes standard with AWD and remote auto start. It is so happy looking, it cheers me up! The dash is also orange! It has the new 1.3 turbo with 177 hp and 210 ft lbs of torque, very peppy, I can pass anyone with ease. It is getting 31.2 mpg average. It sits high, 7.9 inches of ground clearance..that takes getting used to since I have never owned an SUV. Seats very comfortable. Handles ok, like a small nimble suv. The transmission problems have been ironed out in previous years, shifts smooth and quickly. I got a good deal, paid 21,400 brand new for the Pop trim. It also has a/c pw, pl, pm, blue tooth, android auto and much more. So far I love it!
