Glitchy but has great gas mileage
Thursday, December 03, 2015
This car continues to amaze me. Growing up I was force fed GM due to both parents working there. But I have always been an oriental car lover. Kia has a winner here if they get rid of the glitches in acceleration from a stop. The engine literally hesitates while the gas engine engages. This causes the need to be sure you have plenty of room before pulling out from a stop sign. Otherwise, the mileage that I get averages about 34.7MPG and I have a lead foot. I am a very aggressive driver. The interior is great but the stereo I have has terrible sound. Very plastic sounding, but it works fine with UVO and Sirius. I would suggest they upgrade these radios or increase the amps to give a better sound. Overall, I am giving it an 8-10 due to these two items. So far, so good. The quality is excellent where it counts.

Unbelievable

This is without a doubt the nicest car I've own in 47 years of driving. Albeit a brain overload in regards to understanding the navigation system and all the included technology, it's a thrill to drive.

very good daily car

Overall this car is a very good purchase. Its quiet, gets great mpg city 33mpg, and suburb road driving can be over 60mpg. Highway isnt great, only 34 mpg. The interior on the ex hybrid is nice, the infinity sound system is loud and the sound is good. The navigation is easy to use and is the hands free phone. The head rests on the 15 model are a bit stiff, they fixed that with the 16 model. And the exterior paint is a bit thin and chips easily. But overall owning a 15 ex hybrid has been a good overall choice. I will be buying another one when this one is old and worn out.
