Cars with a blind spot camera display a live feed of your blind spot on your infotainment screen or instrument cluster.

Cars with a blind spot camera can provide more than just a warning that there may be something hiding in your blind spot. They display a live camera feed on the infotainment screen or instrument cluster that shows what the camera sees.
These aren't to be confused with blind spot monitors. While both warn you if there's something in your blind spot, they don't do it in the same way. A blind spot monitor can be a simple light that illuminates either on the side mirrors or inside the vehicle adjacent to the mirror. There may also be a warning chime. Some cars even have assistive features that will steer you back toward your lane as an additional layer of protection.
The key difference in cars with a blind spot camera is the live video feed of what you're not seeing.
The cars on our list are in no particular order and are the only ones that meet the following criteria:
- Availability: Each of these vehicles offers a blind spot camera, not just a blind spot monitor, on at least one trim in the model range.
- Activation: Each of these vehicles shows the view from that camera every time the turn signal is activated.
Genesis
2022 Genesis G70
The smallest sedan in the Genesis lineup, the G70, comes with a wide range of standard and available safety features. This includes an available blind-spot view monitor (BVM) on all trims. It shows a live feed of your blind spot in the instrument cluster every time you activate the turn signal. If it senses another vehicle in your blind spot, it will sound an audible alert.

2021 Genesis G80
This mid-size luxury sedan has two powerful engine options and a luxurious interior with plenty of room for five people. It also has a wide range of safety features that includes a blind-spot view monitor available as an option across the trim lineup. The video displays in the G80s instrument cluster, not on an infotainment screen. Like the smaller G70, the Genesis G80 will also alert drivers of a vehicle in the adjacent lane, but adds a blind-spot collision-avoidance system that is designed to detect an imminent collision and applies the G80's brakes to avoid an unsafe lane change.

2022 Genesis G90
The largest sedan in the Genesis lineup, the G90, also has an available blind-spot view monitor. On this model, it's a standard feature even on the base trim, and will display a live view of the blind spot on the G90, depending on which set of turn signals has been activated. The G90 sedan also has a blind-spot collision-avoidance system that is designed to apply the brakes to "nudge" the car back into its own lane if a vehicle is detected and a collision is imminent.
Honda
2021 Honda Clarity Plug-in Hybrid
The Honda Clarity plug-in hybrid sedan features standard Honda LaneWatch. This camera activates only when using the right turn signal and displays a live feed on the infotainment screen. LaneWatch is slowly being phased out, so it has limited availability within the Honda lineup.
One notable difference between the system in use at Hyundai/Kia/Genesis is that Lane Watch displays the video feed on the infotainment screen instead of the instrument cluster, requiring drivers to divert their attention away from the road more than on the others.
Honda
2021 Honda Clarity Fuel Cell
The Honda Clarity Fuel Cell is a hydrogen fuel cell vehicle only available in select markets across the country. Like the plug-in hybrid version of the Clarity, it includes Honda LaneWatch as a standard feature.
Hyundai
2022 Hyundai Sonata Limited
The only sedan in the Hyundai lineup to offer a blind-spot view monitor is the Sonata, but it's not on all trims. You have to go all the way up to the top Limited trim, on which it's offered as a standard feature. When the left or right turn signal is activated, it will show a live feed in the instrument cluster. The feature is also available on the Sonata Hybrid Limited.
Kia
2022 Kia Stinger GT2
The 2022 Kia Stinger is a sporty performance sedan available in a range of three trims. The only trim with a blind-spot view monitor (a live feed from a side view mirror camera displayed in the car's dashboard) is the top GT2, on which it's a standard feature.
While most vehicles offer some kind of blind-spot monitoring system, the list of blind spot cameras is much smaller. Some companies, including Honda, are phasing out the use of blind spot cameras. Others, including Hyundai, are just beginning to introduce this feature.
Due to cost considerations, blinds spot cameras are often found only on the more luxurious vehicles in an automaker's lineup or only on the top trims of more affordable models. They're not widely available in early 2022, but as new cars are introduced and the technology is refined, blind spot camera feeds may become more common.
