Marking the ninth generation of the popular midsize sedan, the redesigned 2025 Toyota Camry features updated styling — both inside and out — along with a suite of new technology and an all-hybrid lineup.

2025 Toyota Camry Shifts to a Purely Hybrid Lineup
The big news for 2025 is that Toyota is discontinuing the Camry's current line of gas-only four- and six-cylinder engines. In their place will be a pair of hybrid drivetrains.
Both offerings mate a 2.5-liter four-cylinder with Toyota's fifth-generation Toyota Hybrid System, which uses two electric motors on the front axle. In this front-wheel-drive configuration, the Camry will be good for 225 horsepower.
Buyers will also have the option of an electronic on-demand all-wheel-drive (AWD) system that adds an electric drive motor-generator at the rear axle. Toyota says the additional drive motor is automatically engaged when extra traction is needed, such as for off-the-line acceleration or in slippery conditions like snow-covered roads. AWD Camry models are rated at 232 horsepower, which is a 30-hp improvement over the previous mechanical-AWD model.

2025 Toyota Camry Arrives With New Styling and More Comfort
At least initially, Toyota is paring the Camry lineup down to two distinct model lines — the comfort-oriented LE and XLE and the sport-oriented SE and XSE.
No matter the badge on the back, all 2025 Camry models sport new sheetmetal that was penned by Toyota's design studios in California and Michigan. Highlights of the new look include a "hammerhead" front-end design reminiscent of the latest Prius along with standard LED headlights, daytime running lights, and taillights.
Camry sport models add functional front air ducts, front-side canards, a rear diffuser, an exposed dual-tip exhaust, and a rear lip spoiler. Stepping up from the SE to the XSE nets a color-matched grille and a black trunk garnish. Camry XSE models can also be optioned with a Midnight Black Metallic Roof for a two-tone look.
The Camry SE rolls on standard 18-inch black-finished wheels while the higher-spec XSE model receives black and smoke gray-painted 19-inch wheels as standard.

Toyota says all 2025 Camry models benefit from retuned suspension and braking systems, while the sport-tuned suspension that's specific to SE and XSE models has been recalibrated to provide better comfort.
An updated cabin features redesigned seats that promise enhanced comfort compared with the outgoing model, according to Toyota. Those new seats are upholstered in cloth in the Camry LE, while the luxury-oriented XLE uses leather with suede-like inserts. The Camry SE comes standard with SofTex synthetic leather; the XSE gets genuine leather in either black or red.
Standard equipment on the 2025 Camry includes keyless entry with push-button start and dual-zone automatic climate control with rear seat vents. Notable upgrades for the XLE and XSE models include acoustic-laminated front glass along with the availability of a power tilt and slide panoramic sunroof and heated and ventilated front seats.

2025 Toyota Camry Boasts Enhanced Tech and Safety
Tech upgrades abound, starting with a 7.0-inch digital gauge cluster on LE and SE models and a fully digital 12.3-inch instrument pod on XLE and XSE models. Infotainment duties are handled by a standard 8.0-inch touchscreen, which can be upgraded to a 12.3-inch display via the Camry's option list. Both screens run wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto while allowing for simultaneous dual Bluetooth phone connectivity. A Qi wireless charging pad is located in the center console of the 2025 Toyota Camry, and USB-A and USB-C ports are available for both front and rear-seat passengers.
Camry drivers with an active Drive Connect subscription can access Toyota's Intelligent Assistant, which allows for voice-activated commands by saying "Hey, Toyota." Once prompted, the system can perform a wide array of functions, from searching for a point of interest to adjusting the audio controls.

A Digital Key, which uses your smartphone as a key, is available on Camry XLE and XSE models. As with the Intelligent Assistant, Digital Key requires an active subscription, this time to Toyota's Remote Connect.
On the safety front, all 2025 Camry models get Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 as standard. It includes:
- Blind-spot monitoring
- Rear cross-traffic alert
- Automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection
- Adaptive cruise control with lane centering
- Traffic sign recognition
- Automatic high-beams
The Premium Plus Package, available on XLE and XSE Camry trims, adds Traffic Jam Assist, Toyota's semi-autonomous, eyes-on-the-road, hands-free driving tech, as well as front-cross traffic alert, Lane Change Assist, a panoramic view monitor, and front and rear parking assist with automated braking.

2025 Toyota Camry Arrives Early Next Year
Pricing for the 2025 Toyota Camry has not been announced as of December 2023. Look for the new Camry to roll into dealer showrooms in spring 2024.
